• Historia utiliza el enfoque basado en competencias y la metodología CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning); este último se usa principalmente en la instrucción de ESL (inglés como segundo idioma) en colegios bilingües o internacionales. Tiene su base en la teoría constructivista.
• Al principio, la unidad busca un vínculo sutil con el tema que estudiarán, además de desencadenar el conocimiento previo de los estudiantes sobre el tema.
• Los resultados de aprendizaje del programa especifican qué esperar sobre el conocimiento, la habilidad, la actitud o el valor; por lo tanto, para definir el alcance del tratamiento de los temas, se proponen paulatinamente subtemas para abordar a ellos.

• History uses the competence-based approach and the clil (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology; the latter is used primarily in esl (English as a Second Language) instruction in bilingual or international schools. It has its basis in the constructivist theory.

• In the beginning, the unit seeks a subtle link with the subject they will study in addition to triggering students’ previous knowledge of the topic.
• The program’s learning outcomes specify what to expect about the knowledge, skill, attitude or value; therefore, to define the scope of the treatment of the topics, subtopics are gradually proposed to address them.
